Effective Date: May 4, 2026
Welcome to Jamzo. These Terms of Service ("Terms") are a legal agreement between you and ScoreSpace, Inc., a Delaware corporation ("ScoreSpace," "we," "us," or "our"), governing your access to and use of the Jamzo platform at https://jamzo.com and all related services (collectively, the "Platform"). By creating an account, accessing, or using the Platform, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Platform.
You must be at least 13 years of age to use Jamzo. If you are between 13 and 18, you must have parental or guardian consent to use the Platform. By using Jamzo, you represent and warrant that you meet these eligibility requirements. We reserve the right to request proof of age or parental consent at any time.
Prize eligibility is subject to additional restrictions, including the age, sanctions, and skill-contest provisions set forth in Section 6. Use of the Platform is permitted in your jurisdiction only to the extent consistent with applicable law.
To access certain features, you must create an account. You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration and to keep your account information updated. You are solely responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.
Jamzo is a platform that enables users to host, discover, and participate in game jams (time-limited game development events). Features include jam creation and management tools, game submission and voting systems, participant profiles, and community features.
Jamzo acts as a venue and platform provider. ScoreSpace, Inc. does not organize, manage, or assume responsibility for individual game jams hosted by third-party jam hosts on the Platform. Jam hosts are solely responsible for their jam's rules, themes, judging criteria, prizes, and compliance with applicable laws.
If you host a jam on Jamzo, you agree that you are solely responsible for the administration of your jam, including (without limitation) the rules, the fair and timely fulfillment of any prizes you offer, compliance with applicable contest and sweepstakes laws, and any tax obligations arising from prize distribution. ScoreSpace is not a co-sponsor, administrator, or guarantor of any prizes offered by jam hosts.
Hosts must also comply with the prize-specific obligations set forth in Section 6, including those relating to taxes (§6.2), sanctions (§6.3), age requirements (§6.4), skill-based judging (§6.5), and voting integrity (§6.6).
You retain all ownership rights in the content you submit to Jamzo, including game files, source code, descriptions, screenshots, videos, and other materials ("User Content"). By submitting User Content to Jamzo, you grant ScoreSpace a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free, sublicensable license to host, display, reproduce, distribute, and make available your User Content solely as necessary to operate and promote the Platform. This license does not transfer ownership of your content to ScoreSpace.
Individual jams may have their own rules regarding intellectual property and licensing of submissions. By entering a jam, you agree to comply with that jam's specific rules, which are set by the jam host. ScoreSpace is not responsible for the IP terms imposed by jam hosts.
You agree not to submit content that is illegal, infringing, defamatory, obscene, harassing, threatening, hateful, or that promotes violence or discrimination. We reserve the right to remove any content that violates these Terms or that we find objectionable, at our sole discretion.
You agree not to:
ScoreSpace, Inc. does not sponsor, guarantee, or assume any liability for prizes offered by jam hosts or third-party sponsors. All prizes are the sole responsibility of the offering party. Any disputes regarding prizes must be resolved directly between the participant and the jam host or sponsor, as further described in Section 12.5. ScoreSpace makes no warranties regarding the availability, value, or delivery of any prizes.
Prizes awarded through jams hosted on the Platform may be taxable income to the recipient, and recipients are solely responsible for any tax implications associated with prizes they receive, including reporting and paying any applicable taxes in their jurisdiction.
Host responsibility. Where prizes are awarded and distributed directly by jam hosts or third-party sponsors (the typical arrangement), the host or sponsor — not ScoreSpace — is the payer of the prize for tax purposes. Hosts and sponsors that distribute monetary prizes are solely responsible for compliance with all applicable tax reporting, withholding, and information-collection obligations, including (where applicable under U.S. law) collecting Form W-9 from U.S. recipients, collecting Form W-8BEN or W-8BEN-E from non-U.S. recipients, withholding tax on payments to non-U.S. recipients absent a valid treaty exemption, and issuing Form 1099-MISC or 1099-NEC for reportable U.S. payments. Hosts and sponsors are responsible for equivalent obligations under non-U.S. law where applicable.
ScoreSpace as payer. In the limited cases where ScoreSpace directly distributes prize funds on behalf of a host or sponsor, ScoreSpace will collect the tax forms required by applicable law before releasing payment, may withhold tax where required, and will issue tax forms (such as Form 1099) where required. Recipients agree to provide accurate and complete tax information promptly upon request, and ScoreSpace may delay or withhold payment until valid tax documentation is received. Inaccurate or incomplete information provided by the recipient may result in additional withholding or forfeiture of the prize.
No tax advice. Nothing in these Terms constitutes tax advice. Recipients should consult their own tax advisors regarding the tax treatment of any prizes received.
Notwithstanding any other provision of these Terms or any jam-specific rules, no person may receive a prize through a jam hosted on the Platform if doing so would violate applicable economic sanctions or export control laws, including those administered by the U.S. Department of the Treasury's Office of Foreign Assets Control ("OFAC"). Without limiting the foregoing, individuals who are residents of, or organizations domiciled in, any country, region, or territory subject to comprehensive U.S. sanctions (currently including, without limitation, Cuba, Iran, North Korea, Syria, the Crimea region, the so-called Donetsk People's Republic and Luhansk People's Republic regions of Ukraine, and any other jurisdiction designated by OFAC) are not eligible to receive prizes. Individuals or entities listed on OFAC's Specially Designated Nationals and Blocked Persons List (the "SDN List") or any equivalent restricted-party list are likewise ineligible.
By participating in a jam that offers prizes, you represent and warrant that you are not subject to the restrictions described above. Jam hosts and prize sponsors are responsible for confirming the eligibility of prize recipients and for declining to award prizes to ineligible individuals. ScoreSpace reserves the right to remove submissions, disqualify participants, or revoke hosting privileges where there is reason to believe a prize award would violate applicable sanctions law.
Unless a jam's specific rules expressly provide otherwise and the jam host has implemented appropriate procedures for verifiable parental or guardian consent and tax compliance, only individuals who are at least eighteen (18) years of age at the time of prize claim are eligible to receive prizes. By claiming a prize, you represent and warrant that you meet this age requirement. Where a jam permits prize awards to participants under 18, the jam host is solely responsible for obtaining valid parental or guardian consent, complying with applicable laws governing contracts with minors, and handling any tax reporting requirements through the participant's parent or guardian. ScoreSpace may require proof of age before facilitating any prize-related communications or, in the limited cases where ScoreSpace directly distributes prizes, before releasing payment.
Jams hosted on the Platform are intended to be contests of skill, in which submissions are evaluated on the basis of objectively identifiable judging criteria established by the jam host (such as creativity, gameplay, theme adherence, technical execution, or polish). Jams are not games of chance, lotteries, sweepstakes, or gambling, and no element of chance determines the outcome of a jam or the award of any prize. Jam hosts are responsible for ensuring that their jam's judging criteria, voting procedures, and prize structure are consistent with this skill-based framing and with applicable law in the host's and participants' jurisdictions. ScoreSpace does not permit jams that operate as games of chance, paid sweepstakes, or unlicensed gambling on the Platform.
Voting and rating systems on the Platform exist to support fair, skill-based outcomes. You agree that you will not, directly or indirectly:
(a) create, control, or use multiple accounts to influence voting, ratings, or rankings;
(b) participate in or organize vote-trading, reciprocal-rating, or coordinated voting arrangements intended to manipulate jam outcomes;
(c) solicit votes or ratings from individuals who have not meaningfully engaged with the submissions being rated;
(d) engage in coordinated downvoting, review-bombing, or targeted suppression of other participants' submissions;
(e) use bots, scripts, or automated tools to submit votes or ratings; or
(f) otherwise interfere with the integrity of any jam's voting, rating, or judging process.
Violation of this Section 6.6 is a material breach of these Terms. ScoreSpace may, at its sole discretion, invalidate affected votes, disqualify submissions, suspend or terminate accounts, and decline to facilitate any prize-related communications or distributions in connection with results affected by manipulation. Where ScoreSpace directly distributes prize funds, ScoreSpace may withhold or refuse payment to any recipient whose results were materially influenced by conduct prohibited under this Section. Hosts retain the independent right to disqualify participants under their own jam-specific rules.
The Platform, including its design, features, code, trademarks, logos, and content created by ScoreSpace, Inc. (excluding User Content), is owned by ScoreSpace, Inc. and is protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, or lease any part of the Platform without our written consent.
We respect the intellectual property rights of others. If you believe that content on Jamzo infringes your copyright, please submit a notice to our designated DMCA agent with the following information: (1) a description of the copyrighted work claimed to have been infringed; (2) a description of the infringing material and its location on the Platform; (3) your contact information; (4) a statement of good faith belief; (5) a statement of accuracy under penalty of perjury; and (6) your physical or electronic signature.
DMCA notices should be sent to: [email protected]
THE PLATFORM IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. SCORESPACE DOES NOT WARRANT THAT THE PLATFORM WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, SECURE, OR FREE OF VIRUSES OR OTHER HARMFUL COMPONENTS.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, SCORESPACE, INC. AND ITS OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, AGENTS, AND AFFILIATES SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, USE, OR GOODWILL, ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH YOUR USE OF THE PLATFORM, WHETHER BASED ON WARRANTY, CONTRACT, TORT, OR ANY OTHER LEGAL THEORY. OUR TOTAL AGGREGATE LIABILITY FOR ALL CLAIMS ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO THESE TERMS OR THE PLATFORM SHALL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNTS YOU HAVE PAID TO SCORESPACE IN THE TWELVE MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM, OR (B) ONE HUNDRED DOLLARS ($100).
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless ScoreSpace, Inc., its officers, directors, employees, agents, and affiliates from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, costs, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of or relating to: (a) your use of the Platform; (b) your User Content; (c) your violation of these Terms; (d) your violation of any applicable law or third-party right; or (e) any jam you host, including any prizes you offer.
Before filing any formal dispute, you agree to first contact us at [email protected] and attempt to resolve the dispute informally for at least 30 days.
If we cannot resolve a dispute informally, you and ScoreSpace agree that any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Platform shall be resolved by binding arbitration administered by the American Arbitration Association (AAA) under its Commercial Arbitration Rules. The arbitration shall take place in Delaware (or another mutually agreed location). Judgment on the arbitration award may be entered in any court of competent jurisdiction.
YOU AND SCORESPACE AGREE THAT EACH PARTY MAY ONLY BRING CLAIMS AGAINST THE OTHER IN AN INDIVIDUAL CAPACITY, AND NOT AS A PLAINTIFF OR CLASS MEMBER IN ANY PURPORTED CLASS, CONSOLIDATED, OR REPRESENTATIVE PROCEEDING.
Either party may bring claims in small claims court if eligible. Either party may seek injunctive or equitable relief in a court of competent jurisdiction to protect intellectual property rights.
Disputes arising between users — including disputes between participants and jam hosts, between participants and third-party prize sponsors, between teammates regarding prize allocation or credit, or between participants regarding voting, ratings, or jam outcomes — are not disputes with ScoreSpace and are not subject to the arbitration provisions of Sections 12.1 through 12.3. ScoreSpace is not a party to and will not arbitrate, mediate, or otherwise adjudicate such disputes.
You agree that ScoreSpace is not responsible for resolving disputes between users and that any prize-related dispute (including non-payment, late payment, partial payment, disqualification, IP disputes, team prize allocation, or sponsor non-performance) must be pursued directly between the parties involved. You release ScoreSpace, its officers, directors, employees, agents, and affiliates from any and all claims, demands, damages, and causes of action of every kind arising out of or in connection with disputes between users, including disputes related to prizes offered by jam hosts or third-party sponsors. This release survives termination of these Terms.
Nothing in this Section 12.5 prevents ScoreSpace from taking action against users who violate these Terms, the Community Guidelines, or applicable law, including by removing content, disqualifying submissions, or suspending or terminating accounts. Any such action is taken to enforce platform rules and does not constitute ScoreSpace assuming responsibility for any underlying user dispute.
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Delaware, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
We may suspend or terminate your account and access to the Platform at any time, with or without cause, and with or without notice. Upon termination, your right to use the Platform ceases immediately, but the provisions of these Terms that by their nature should survive (including Sections 4, 6, 9–13) will survive termination.
You may delete your account at any time through your account settings or by contacting us.
We may modify these Terms at any time. We will provide notice of material changes by posting the updated Terms with a revised effective date and, where appropriate, by email or platform notification. Your continued use of the Platform after the effective date of any changes constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms.
If you have questions about these Terms, please contact us at [email protected].
